Local Moving Services in Dallas–Fort Worth
Polaris handles local moves anywhere in Dallas–Fort Worth: apartments, houses, offices and full packing. Every crew arrives with a truck, pads, dollies and blankets. You pay one hourly rate from $139 for 2 movers, with a 3-hour minimum and no charge for distance inside our service area. Pickup and delivery are both in Texas.
What a local move means at Polaris
A local move has both addresses inside our service area, which covers every city in Dallas–Fort Worth. It's billed by the hour, and the drive between your 2 addresses counts as moving time. There's no separate travel fee, mileage charge or fuel surcharge.
If one address is elsewhere in Texas, the move gets one flat fee instead. Austin, Houston, San Antonio and El Paso have set prices by home size. We quote other Texas cities in writing. We don't move between states.

Included, and charged separately
- Included: truck, moving pads, blankets, dollies, extra stops, appliance disconnect and reconnect (electric and water only), taking TVs off the wall
- No fees for fuel, stairs, long carries, weekends or cards, and no charge for distance inside our service area
- Charged separately: boxes and packing materials as used; tape $5 and stretch wrap $39 per roll, only if the crew uses them
- Upright piano, massage chair, gun safe or any item over 300 lb: $199 each. Grand piano: $500, first floor only
What we don't offer
We don't do interstate moves, storage, junk removal on its own, loading-only help with your own truck or container, TV mounting, or shuttle trucks. We never disconnect or connect gas lines.
FAQs
How far counts as local?
Any move with both addresses inside our service area, which covers every DFW city. You won't see a distance charge on your bill. If one address is in another Texas city, you get a flat fee instead.
Do you move on weekends?
Yes, at the same rates. There's no weekend fee.
Can you move just a few items?
Yes. 1 or 2 items with one pickup and one drop-off cost $350 flat. 3 or more items are billed by the hour with the 3-hour minimum.
Do I need to be there the whole time?
Someone needs to be at the pickup to walk the crew through and sign, and at delivery to sign and pay.
What if the move runs past 3 hours?
After 3 hours we bill in 15-minute steps, at the hourly rate in your written proposal.
Can you move me today or tomorrow?
Sometimes. Call us: same-day and next-day moves depend on a crew being free, and we confirm before we book.
