What comes with every Mesquite move

The truck is in the rate
One hourly rate pays for the crew, the truck, the pads, the blankets and the dollies. A 3-bedroom ranch with 3 movers and the 26-ft truck for 7 hours is 7 × $179 = $1,253, with no separate charge for the truck.
No trip fee to Mesquite
Mesquite is well inside our service area, and there's no fee for getting the crew to your street. You start paying when the crew reaches your door.
No card fee
Some movers add a charge for paying by card, and one DFW mover publishes a 2.5% card fee, which would put $24.61 on top of the $984.50 ranch move below. With us, the card total and the cash total are the same number.
A crew lead runs your move
The crew lead who arrives with your crew and truck walks through the rooms with you, then runs the job from your written proposal.
On time on moving day
Leasing offices give you a set slot for the stairs and the parking, so the crew arrives on time to use it.

Mesquite neighborhoods, highways and HOA streets

I-635, I-30, I-20 and US-80 all cross Mesquite, which sits mostly in Dallas County and reaches into Kaufman County on its east side. Central Mesquite is mostly single-story brick ranch houses, where the front door is close to the curb and the carry is short. Farther east, toward the Kaufman County line, newer 2-story homes sit in HOA neighborhoods with rules about trucks and parking.

Ask your HOA what it allows before the date and send it with your quote request; the crew lead places the truck to fit. On a ranch house, keep the carport and the front drive clear on moving morning. On a 2-story home, measure the stair turn before a sectional or a king bed comes down: the stairs add time, and we never charge a stair fee.

Moving in or out of a Mesquite apartment community?

Mesquite has apartment communities around Town East Mall, open since 1971, and along the US-80 corridor, where older buildings often have open parking. Breezeway stairs are common, so a second- or third-floor unit takes longer to load than a ground-floor one. Ask the leasing office:

  • Whether you need to reserve a parking area for the truck, and how close to your stairwell it can be
  • Which hours and days the community allows move-ins and move-outs
  • Whether there's a gate code or a move-out checklist the crew should know about

Our apartment movers in Mesquite plan the truck and crew around those answers. Most studio and 1-bedroom moves here take 2 movers and our 16-ft truck, and every piece of furniture is wrapped in moving pads and blankets before it goes down the stairs.

An average apartment can book online, since the booking form is built for an average apartment. A full walk-in closet, a china cabinet or a treadmill? Get an exact quote, or phone (214) 204-7224, and your price will cover everything you own.

What Mesquite moves usually look like

Brick ranch houses are the core of our Mesquite work: 3 movers, the 26-ft truck and a straight carry from the front door, so a single-story 3-bedroom often lands at the short end of 5–7 hours. Tool sheds and loose garage shelves slow a load more than furniture does, so box them ahead. Your crew takes the beds apart and sets them up again in the new bedrooms.

Before you move to Mesquite

Most Mesquite addresses are on the Oncor network, so you choose a retail electricity plan before moving day. The City of Mesquite's Utility Billing Office handles water, and the city runs trash and recycling, with large brush and bulky items picked up at the front curb on your area's collection day; set them out no earlier than 24 hours before. Mesquite ISD serves most of the city, and Dallas ISD a small part.

Flatten your empty boxes for the recycling cart. A worn-out sofa or mattress can go to the curb on bulk day, or ride away as a haul-away load on your move.

FAQs

Can you move just a sofa from a Town East store?

Yes: 1–2 items with one pickup and one drop-off cost $350 flat.

Do you charge more for a third-floor apartment?

No. There's no stair fee or long-carry fee; stairs only add time at your hourly rate.

Do weekend moves in Mesquite cost extra?

No. A Sunday move is billed at the same hourly rate as a Wednesday, with no weekend fee.

Is a tip expected?

No. Tipping is your choice, the crew never asks for one, and it's never on your bill. If you do tip, the crew keeps it.

What license and insurance do you have for Mesquite moves?

Polaris holds a Texas DMV household goods mover license, and we carry all the insurance Texas law requires, plus cargo insurance.
