How much does a moving company cost in DFW? At Polaris, one hourly rate per crew covers the truck, pads, dollies and blankets: $139 for 2 movers, $179 for 3 and $219 for 4. The minimum is 3 hours, then 15-minute steps. There's no fuel, stair, weekend or card fee, and no charge for distance inside our service area.

A typical move means a ground floor or elevator at both ends, the truck parked near the door, everything boxed before the crew arrives, and the usual furniture for that home size. Stairs, long walks, packing on moving day and heavy items add time.

What happens after you ask for a quote?
Ask for your free quote. Studio to 2-bedroom apartments of average size book online and see an hourly estimate. For a bigger home, send us the rooms, the large furniture and both addresses for a written proposal.
Hold your date. A $25 deposit holds your date and counts toward your total. It's refunded if you cancel 48 hours or more before your move, and it moves to your new date if you reschedule. A cancellation within 48 hours, or not being there on moving day, isn't refunded.
Moving day. Your crew is there on time. Billed time starts when the crew arrives at your pickup address and stops when the last item is placed and reassembled. The drive between addresses counts. 3-hour minimum, then 15-minute steps.
One payment, near the end. Your crew lead gives you the total before you pay. Pay by cash, Zelle, card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), Google Pay or Apple Pay, with no card fee.
Why move with Polaris?

- Some DFW movers add a truck or travel fee of $99 or more to the bill. Our hourly rate already includes the truck: 3 movers for the 3-hour minimum is 3 × $179 = $537, truck included.

- Our service area covers every DFW city, and nothing is charged by the mile inside it. The drive between your two addresses is billed as time at your crew's rate.

- One DFW mover lists a 2.5% card fee, which would add $32.85 to a $1,314 move. With us the card price is the cash price, for Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Google Pay and Apple Pay.
- A crew lead on every move
- Every move has a crew lead running their own crew and truck, and our movers have 5 to 10+ years of experience. The lead keeps the time and works from your written proposal.
- Always on time
- Your crew shows up on time, weekdays and weekends alike, and a Saturday costs the same hourly rate as a Tuesday.
- Booked right away
- No waiting days for a price: an average apartment books online in minutes, and a house usually gets its written proposal within 30 minutes.

Is there a travel fee?
No. There's no travel, distance or fuel charge inside our local service area, which covers every DFW city.
Why is there a 3-hour minimum?
It covers the truck and crew for the morning. Most apartment moves take 3–4 hours anyway.
How is time rounded after 3 hours?
In 15-minute steps: 3 hours 10 minutes bills as 3 hours 15 minutes.
Do you charge a card fee?
No. Cash, Zelle, card, Google Pay and Apple Pay all cost the same.
Is my quote the final price?
Hourly moves are billed for the time used, at the rate in your proposal. Moves to other Texas cities get one flat fee. Added items or services need a signed change before we do them.
